Steps to Maintaining Your Own Site:

Note: To maintain your own site, you need your own computer and Internet access. Also, before starting this process, please inform OWD that you'd like to maintain your own site.

1. Buy the necessary software for your computer - Adobe Contribute. Contribute is $150 and is made for those who know nothing about web sites. Call or order online.
   
   
2. After you receive Contribute, install it on your computer. (If you're not comfortable doing this, OWD can do it for you.)
   
   
3. Participate in training that we provide you. Training lasts about two hours. We teach you how to use Contribute to change text, graphics, add and remove pages, and more.
   • We highly recommend Contribute. Our customers have had great success with it.

Recommended Graphics Program*
OWD recommends Adobe Photoshop Elements as a great program for editing your photos and graphics.

• Photoshop Elements can be purchased at some office supply stores or at some electronics stores. Call first to see if they have it.
  
  
3. Note: You do NOT want Adobe Photoshop. Adobe Photoshop is about $700 and is for technical users. You want Adobe Photoshop Elements.
   
   
4. Once you buy Photoshop Elements, OWD will be happy to train you to use Photoshop Elements.
• If you would like help purchasing a digital camera and/or transferring pictures from your camera to your computer, we do that also. Just ask!

*Adobe Contribute is the only program necessary to maintain your web site. If you would like more control over the graphical elements of your site (usually this means your photos), we recommend Photoshop Elements.
